Sanding the Part15462 viewsI'm sanding off the excess left from the cut and removing the bit of beveling that the rail needed for the gun it was on.

Part Was From II15165 viewsLooked all over to find a gun with this rail size on it! Finally found a cheap crossbow of all things that had just what I was looking for. It was even easy to cut the piece off the orignal gun. This picture shows were the part came from on the orignal gun. BTW... anyone interested in buying parts of what used to be a small crossbow? The Handle and trigger is really nice ;)

Checking for smoothness15180 viewsHave to constantly check the part I'm sanding off to ensure I don't grind off too much.

Elbo Greese15178 viewsI actually took a good 20mins of sanding with extremely course sandpaper to get the part to where I wanted it. Note to self: get a frickin powered sander station!

What its for.15109 viewsThis picture shows what the expanded adapter will look like with a 1x30 TASC red dot scope on it. My only fear is that it may be sitting a bit too high, might have to knock off a 1/4" from the grey portion of the original adapter design.

Expanded Adapter I15208 viewsCurrently I just glued the expanded portion on top of the original adapter design. This is a picture with the expanded portion moved forward which is another possible design. Might have to redo this to get the scope closer to the gun as it may be too high.

Expanded Adapter II15290 viewsDifferent possibility. This shows the expansion part slid forward whit is another possibility.

Expanded Adapter III15405 viewsThis is currently how I'm going to attempt to make the mold with the front flush. This gives the user the ability to cut off any excess that they don't need.
